£20m turnover privately owned Civil Engineering Company, who’s strategy is based on investing for growth, hands-on proactive management and identifying opportunities for adding real value, is recruiting a Financial Controller. The role will report into the CEO and Technical Director, but it will also have wider involvement supporting the senior management team and be a key component within a close knit head office
Managing a team of 2, it will have responsibility for all key areas of finance, from production of management accounts, cashflow forecasting and liaising with the banks, to producing the budgets delivery of annual accounts and liaison with 3rd parties on audit and tax requirements.
In addition, there is a business need to develop the utilisation of IT systems with a view to enhancing management information and business reporting to enable the business managers and the board to make more insightful commercial and strategic decisions.
They are looking for a successful, value-adding, ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified finance professional with diligence and a strong personal leadership style, coupled with excellent attention to detail and demonstrable interpersonal skills, which will enable credibility in senior management and board meetings, as well as facilitate involvement in wider operational aspects of the business.
