Accountant

Finalist / Newly Qualified Accountant

My client has an exciting opportunity for a part qualified / finalist / newly qualified accountant to join their finance team. You will be working within the Financial Accounting team, supporting the manager of this area with a focus on statutory accounts production and assisting with the tax computations.

The Accountant candidate will have the opportunity to work with all areas of the business gaining commercial experience in a fast paced environment. This role provides the opportunity to progress within a large, growing organization.

A practice trained accountant looking for their first role in industry would be an ideal candidate for this role.

Responsibilities include

• Assisting with the month end reporting
• Assisting with the statutory accounts prep and assisting with the year-end audit
• SOX compliance testing and reporting
• Month end accruals and prepayments
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Employee expenses analysis and accounting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance to the VAT Accountant
• Various ad hoc duties as required

Role will suit a practice trained part qualified/ finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA) looking for their first role in industry. You will have strong statutory accounts experience, excellent attention to detail and advanced Excel skills. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and good communication & team working skills.
