Financial Controller

ABPM as experts in financial recruitment are supporting this exciting new business in the appointment of a new Financial Controller/Director (Des). Derby based the business has a legacy born of an experienced management team who have an expertise in the sector and have an appetite to drive the business to become the UK market leader.

Working alongside the Managing Director and Commercial Director, you will be an experienced hands-on accountant for creating the company's financial management infrastructure and you will also possess business awareness and good commercial judgement, advising on the best path of growth for the business.

You will be a qualified accountant who will have overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company's operation and will be expected to analyse and implement recommendations with the most profitable outcomes. Together with a small team undertaking monthly, annual and budgeting procedures, you will have strong communication skills with all levels of staff, often having to work with various departments to help them plan and manage their own budgets.

You will coordinate finance, lead IT and accounting system improvements and managing company policies regarding capital expenditure, taxation, and growth opportunities as appropriate. It is expected that following a appropriate period of service as Financial Controller the successful appointee will progress to the Finance Director role.
