We are seeking to recruit an internal financial auditor to support the Director of Risk and Audit to ensure financial compliance and reporting of financial issues are robust within the group. Execute internal audit procedures, schedules, priorities and programs for achieving audit objectives and goals.
Develop appropriate tools to analyse and assess information obtained through interviews, observation and review of documentation. Use a risk based approach to assess internal controls, identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies in operational issues.
Present audit findings and recommendations to management. Communicate results in written reports and oral presentations.
Assist local management with the development of corrective action plans and follow-up on completion.
Asses compliance with financial regulations and internal policies & procedures by executing audit program.; testing general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analysing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
Provide recommendations that add value and /or create greater efficiencies with respect to operations and financial reporting.
Ensure these meet legislative and regulatory standards and the needs of the business.
Work with the operational teams to identify opportunities that add value to the groups compliance.
What we'd like from you:
- Specialist knowledge of leading, developing and reviewing financial audit information. Likely to hold an industry specific professional qualification. A seasoned professional with extensive experience within a specialised discipline or activity,
- Works to agreed short and medium term objectives, communication and interaction are a key feature of the role. The role holder may regularly be dealing with demanding and difficult situations, which require highly developed and well practiced communication and interpersonal skills
- Current full UK driving licence, covered for business use on own motor vehicle. National role where the occasional overnight stay may be required.
