Head of Finance

Our client, a high growth PE-backed international business based in South West London, is looking for a Head of Finance to join their high calibre team.

The role will report through to the CFO and will be responsible for managing a team that is responsible for delivering all core finance activities and managing the “engine room” of finance. A key focus for the role-holder is to maintain and continuously improve the underlying financial systems and processes to deliver an efficient, effective and scalable function.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the accounts team responsible for:
  • All aspects of the AP / AR
  • Revenue recognition
  • Credit control
  • Payroll approval and processing
  • Day-to-day banking and cash management
  • Project accounting, including project ledger administration & timesheet control
  • Balance sheet control
  • Inter-company accounting
• Supporting and working closely with the FP&A teams
• Oversee the group’s external audit process, including preparation of statutory accounts for all group entities
• Ensure the company is tax compliant in all jurisdictions across all tax categories (including VAT, sales & employment taxes) with input from external advisors as needed.
• Manage the group’s Treasury requirements and day-to-day banking relationships
• Ensure timely and accurate forecasting and reporting of cashflow

It is essential that you are a qualified accountant with experience of managing a team (minimum 4) who have been responsible for all aspects of month /year end and overseeing a transactional team. Some knowledge of tax and cash management would be advantageous.

Up-to £80,000 plus package incl. bonus & pension
