Senior Finance Manager

This recently listed, market leading multi-site consumer facing business has delivered consistently rapid growth over the past 4 years.  It has done so through the development of exciting innovation within its field and as such is at the forefront of changing how we spend our leisure time.  Following its successful listing, The Gym Group’s aggressive expansion plans remain on track and it continues to open sites across the UK. 

The Gym Group is now seeking to strengthen its finance capability by recruiting a charismatic Senior Finance Manager. 

In this business critical leadership role, reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will;

• Business partner senior, operational stakeholders, creating genuine value add relationships whilst providing insightful and business critical analysis to aid business decision making
• Lead a team, identifying skills gaps and coaching individuals to their maximum potential
• Create and enhance a strong and robust management reporting environment, analysing current state, identifying business improvement opportunities and executing efficiencies
• Oversee the delivery of month end management reporting, ensuring accuracy and insight are optimised
• Lead contract reviews to assess contract performance of suppliers and drive improvements
• Provide essential support on ad-hoc projects including investment cases and corporate development activities 
• Own the external relationship, preparing the annual audit information and acting as first point of contact for the audit advisors

As a credible and emotionally intelligent qualified accountant you will have first class communications skills and demonstrably high levels of intellectual horsepower.  You will easily build cross-functional relationships and display a track record of adding tangible value.  Essential to this role is a transparent background of coaching individuals to improved performance within a fluid environment.  Strong excel skills are a must, as is an ability to work within a growing, rapidly changing and hands on setting.
