Accountant

Our client, a market leading business in the Southampton area are looking for a Technical Accountant to join their team to assist them with projects during a period of major business change.

Reporting to the Head of Project Accounting this will be a broad technical role with involvement across a range of projects. Key aspects will include implementing IFRS 9, 15 & 16 which will impact across the whole business bringing issue of compliance so will need to plan the most expedient way of incorporating changes. Also will be wide ranging involvement in a major business separation project.

Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant (likely ACA, ACCA) with strong technical accounting skills gained a large business or PLC. Experience of Life & Pensions, or at least financial services would be beneficial, although candidates with large company statutory accounting skills in general are encouraged to apply. The role will initially be on a Fixed Term Contract basis for up to 15 months although there are decent prospects for a permanent role in the future.
