An exciting opportunity for a talented Payroll Specialist to join a market leading business based in Birmingham

The purpose of the Payroll Specialist is to hold responsibility for leading the payroll team to ensure all employees are paid on time and correctly in line with financial controls.

Main duties of the Payroll Specialist role are;

  • Lead payroll team
  • Ensure up to date expert knowledge of payroll practices, legislation and developments
  • Maintain positive working relationships with peers and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and support implementation of process improvements
  • Leading, coaching and mentoring team members to drive performance including one to ones

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Specialist role will have experience of leading a team and a strong background in payroll.  You will have strong excel skills and the ability to identify process improvements
