A world leader within the Commercial Real Estate sector are currently look to bring on a high calibre Property Accountant to join their newly formed team. Due to gaining a number of large new clients, the business are looking to continue to build their Property Accounting team.

As well as having an excellent company culture focused on employees wellbeing, there is a broad scope for internal progression and movement within this role as you’d have exposure to and work with a number of different business lines.

Key tasks/responsibilities:

  • Periodic reporting to Clients
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of client reports (i.e. VAT, client statement etc)
  • Maintain professional working relationships with clients and ensure that good client service is delivered.
  • Revenue accounting in accordance with RICS regulations and government legislation
  • Transaction reporting in line with KPI's
  • Client relationship management
  • Issuing of tax invoices
  • Completion statements
  • Reconciling, calculating and apportioning of year end service charges
  • Supervising team members in respect of all their duties and undertaking regular team meetings to ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Taking a senior role with the ability to offer support and advice to the team and key stakeholders as necessary
  • Manage and maintain the Service charge funds of each property under remit
  • Manage and maintain the property and tenant (lease) database for all clients under remit
  • Liaise with property Service Charge Team to ensure completion of service charges within best practice guidelines.
  • Deal appropriately with any property transfers as per internal guidelines.
  • Understand and clear outstanding items as identified on the annual balance sheet.
  • Carry out frequent housekeeping and cleansing of all cash balances held.
  • Monitor cash handling income in accordance with compliance team’s instruction
