HFG is representing a leading global insurer as they seek an experienced Solvency II Reporting Manager to join their London-based regulatory reporting team. Working within a medium sized team and acting as number two to the Head of, this is the ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant with a good technical understanding of Solvency II and experience of reporting processes, looking to join an internationally recognised Insurer with a strong team environment and multiple avenues for progression.


Key responsibilities:

- Delivering Solvency II Pillar 3 Programme requirements (quantitative and qualitative) for Group in
- Designing, owning and managing he Solvency II reporting cycle processes and controls
- Days to day management of the regulatory reporting team members working on Pillar 3 reporting, including the review of their outputs
- Leading the expert team on regulatory technical guidance
- Writing communications to Board and sub-committees
- Leading on the engagement of the Group's external advisors to ensure they receive appropriate information to perform their work
- Providing Solvency II technical advice to market units by interpreting and applying financial reporting and regulatory standards
- Leading on the Solvency II reporting relationships to develop a customer service culture to ensure an effective relationship with each market unit
- Working with the regulatory reporting team to create an environment of continuous improvements to ensure that all reporting is conducted to the highest possible standards whilst meeting efficiency requirements
- Supporting the development and training of junior members of the team


Key requirements:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
- Experience of Solvency II Reporting as well as general financial accounting and reporting knowledge
- Ability to interpret complex accounting and reporting guidance
- Experience coordinating large processes with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise competing demands
- Clear understanding of financial controls and importance of data integrity
