A growing digital media group based in Central London is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Financial Controller to execute the development of the finance function, at both the group and operational level.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Ownership of financial and statutory accounting and key areas of board reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Ownership of working capital and cash flow commentaries for monthly board reporting
- Identifying and implementing process improvements ensuring consistency and sharing best practice
- Establishing a strong controls environment
- Ad hoc analysis and project work for the senior management team
- Key support across acquisition due diligence, financing and integration
- Partnering the business in driving new initiatives and business performance
- Working with non-finance in understanding and interpreting their financial results
- Key role in the preparation of investor presentations
As the successful applicant, you will be a qualified accountant, ideally qualifying within a Big 4 firm before developing your career in commerce. You will have substantial experience in a similar Group Financial Controller capacity, demonstrating proven success in business partnering. Additionally, you will be a confident and pro-active people manager with excellent communication skills and experience in partnering with senior level stakeholders.
