Financial Controller

Your new company:
Medium sized charity in South West London (close to central London) who are at a very exciting stage in terms of its organisational development and growth. The charity has grown their presence and are very well placed to continue developing and growing the services they offer.

Your new role:
You will lead the organisation's financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the group of companies ensuring they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice. You will be developing and leading a strong Finance team across the specific areas of your responsibilities as well as building and sustaining excellent relationships with colleagues across other disciplines at all levels of seniority. You will manage a team of seven altogether with four direct reports.

What you'll need to succeed:
The ideal candidate for this job will have:

• A recognised professional accountancy qualification.
• Demonstrable experience of a senior finance role and in consolidated group accounts for a complex organisation.
• Experience with general ledger, payroll and month end/year end close processes
• Demonstrable experience of leading and managing a large Finance Team.
• Experience of understanding risk and its management within a complex decentralised organisation.
• Demonstrable technical accounting knowledge of accounting standards such as the Charities SORP (FRS 102).
