Financial Accountant

Seeking a big 4 ACA to join a leading luxury retailer on an interim basis as a Financial Accountant - to support the Financial Controller.

MAIN PURPOSE:

- Ensure that the financial records of the company (and its UK associates) are maintained in a timely and accurate manner

- Ensure that the company is meeting its legal and statutory obligations

Accounting


* Ensure all transactions are correctly posted in the general ledgers.

* Investigate and resolve all variances and issues

* Perform daily bank reconciliations

* Complete monthly and seasonal stock and margin reconciliations

* Produce quarterly VAT returns

* Maintain fixed asset register

* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations

* Prepare and post all month-end accruals, prepayments and journals (including all inter-company and Indra-group recharges)

* Maintain record of business contracts and agreements (incl. licences) and ensure that all transactions are properly posted




Financial Reporting

* Leverage knowledge of accounting rules, policies and standards

* Prepare consolidated financial statements

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial reporting packs;

* Identify, investigate and explain variances with prior period

* Prepare annual statutory accounts for all UK registered companies

* Produce ad hock analysis from time to time




Legal, Statutory & Administrative

* Liaise with auditors, as well as tax and pension ad visors

* Ensure all Companies House and HM RC filings are made within deadline

* Perform Intrastate and PR reporting
