Technical accounting lead on all new accounting standards / complex areas of accounting

  • Review and collate monthly and quarterly analytics to the US Reporting team to support the monthly close of the books and group financial statement filings
  • Review and collate monthly reporting packs and audit schedules
  • Review Statutory Financial Statements for the 7 legal entities administered from the UK offices to ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage the annual submission of Financial Statements, liaising with auditors, legal and other stakeholders as necessary
  • Manage and review other regulatory returns
  • Manage the quarterly tax accruals and annual corporation tax filing process, liaising with external tax advisors and the US based tax team as necessary
  • Partner with the Management Accounting Manager to manage the workload of the GL Team to support deliverables
  • Liaison for external auditors and corporation tax advisors, timetabling and providing data to ensure deadlines are met, and actively seek to reduce timelines
  • Manage the annual PSA tax filing process (and international equivalents, i.e. Australian FBT)
  • Coordinate with internal audit, external audit, and internal control queries and process implementation as needed
  • Develop processes that are scalable to cater for growth, including expansion into new countries
  • Continual development of internal reporting including accuracy and standard reporting for management reporting to more insight into the business
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis support as the need arises

PERSON SPECIFICATION:


  • Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent,
  • PQE required
  • A highly motivated accounting manager
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management highly desirable.
  • Experience with Oracle General Ledger highly desirable.
  • Desire to learn
  • Experience of IFRS & US GAAP essential
  • Experience of production and/or review of statutory financial statements essential
  • Experience of reporting to a Private Equity parent desirable.
