Group Accountant

Handle are recruiting for a UK Group Controller to oversee the UK finance function in this mid-sized Entertainment business based in Central London.

Being a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and having experience within an entertainment or media business you will be responsible for managing a team of finance managers and working closely with finance and non finance managers across the business.

Responsibilities include:
 

• Working with the US parent on financial/planning and budgeting
• Oversee monthly close process including review and sign off of monthly reports before submission to the U.S
• Evaluate existing controls within each business and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
• Monitor and analyse monthly operating results against budget and forecast
• Supervise 3 senior finance managers across the different brands
• Manage the preparation of the annual statutory reporting for each entity
• Ensure the monthly reconciliation of all ledgers and sub-ledgers and timely recording and collection of revenues
• Evaluate existing monthly reporting packages and make changes to better reflect the performance of each business
• Ad hoc projects and assignments
