Head of Financial Reporting

A genuinely exciting and challenging opportunity within a (main market listed) Plc. Based in Greater Manchester, you will play a pivotal role is the continual improvement and development of their suite of reports; giving the wider business confidence in both the integrity of information and the value added through enhanced MI.

As a key member of the Finance Management team, you will take ownership over the process of running the Statutory Accounts for a number of divisions to tight timescales, directly producing the more complex aspects whilst reviewing the standard processes. Balance Sheet control is key to enabling the business to make further growth related decisions, so your input and control around the Balance Sheet, in turn enabling more robust and informed MI, makes this a highly visible role in the organisation: you will directly influence the P&L in this way.

Along with a robust control background (perhaps gained within a Group function) and strong experience in the preparation of Statutory Accounts, what is perhaps of greater importance will be your personality and confidence. This is a successful, fast growing and bonus driven organisation where ownership is expected and where you will confidently handle the questions and input of a number of senior stakeholders. This is anything but a back office finance role.

A Qualified Accountant from a control background (ACA / ACCA) it is highly likely that your exposure has been gained within a large and complex corporate; be this Practice or Industry.
