An exciting marketing leading business based in Stevenage seeks a dynamic Head of Commercial Finance (Costing & Pricing) to lead a talented commercial finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve the flow of financial information to the organisation and its business partners
  • Coordinate the cost accounting activities - including standard costing rates, FX rates and production variances.
  • Act as primary point of contact to the Commercial and Business Development teams in setting pricing & discount strategies, supported by sound cost-margin analysis tools
  • Support strengthening the Commercial finance tools in driving profitable top line growth (customer intelligence and competitive landscape, customer profitability, sales and bookings tracking, product life cycle impacts etc.)
  • Inventory management - drive inventory level improvements by building a tracking process to pro-actively identify excess and slow moving items, support cycle & full inventory counts.
  • Maintain a continuous assessment of risks and opportunities for each value stream within the BU in achieving its year-end financial budget/forecast and strategic objectives.
  • Support implementation of a CAPEX tracking process and structure to monitor the Wireless investment needs over the year, to ensure alignment with the Strat Plan and Budget as well as assess the business priority and financial impact.
  • Project management support/coordination and other ad-hoc initiatives.

The successful applicant will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with proven costing and commercial finance experience. The role requires the high-calibre candidate to have excellent computer skills (including Excel at pivot, vlookups, sumifs level) and the ability to interact effectively with functional stakeholders. Excellent task management and personal organization skills are essential to succeed within this position.
