A highly visible opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to cover for maternity leave. The individual needs to be highly motivated, dynamic and proactive with energy and drive. You will play a pivotal role in our large organisation.
To provide financial management and control for a number of recruitment businesses/contracts.
To produce monthly and ad-hoc Divisional and Group reporting.
Identify and/or support opportunities for Operational improvement.
Provide support on bids and other commercial proposals.
Provide tight working capital management
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Finance
Responsible for production of monthly financial reporting, highlighting key trends and variances
Ensure appropriate systems and controls in place to drive accurate financial reporting.
Ensure accurate coding of revenue and costs to ensure accurate GP reporting
Own the monthly forecasting process and the annual business planning process. Create feedback loop to increase accuracy of future forecasts.
Provide insightful MI to give better understanding of business and to help drive improved performance.
Challenge Senior Management as appropriate and identify issues requiring further investigation.
Produce financial models to support bid pricing and other commercial analysis.
Oversee effective credit control and tight working capital management.
Risk Management & Reporting
Ensure risks are reported and escalated to the Division and Group Risk as appropriate.
Developing awareness of risk management and consistency of understanding.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
To be responsible for recruiting, training and motivating a successful culture through effective leadership.
To ensure that all employees in the team are managed in line with Capita policies, values and commercial drivers and that there are effective processes in place to deliver and monitor development opportunities through training and coaching.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
CIMA/ACCA qualified
Business planning, forecasting and bid modelling.
Ability to present and challenge at Senior Management level with insightful information.
Ability to move quickly between tasks and deliver on time.
A proactive approach to finding solutions to business and system problems
Good attention to detail. Accurate outputs with few mistakes
Good written / oral communication skills.
Microsoft packages (Word / Excel / Powerpoint).
SAP skills preferred.
Previous experience in the Recruitment Sector is advantageous.
