Documentation Specialist

Location: Chester

Job Description

Documentation Team are responsible for handling and managing client legal documentation from an on-boarding perspective for the Bank's Europe, Middle East and Africa division (EMEA). The role includes a considerable element of electronic messaging, storage and researching, so a solid knowledge of PC skills is required, as are good organisational skills liaising with associates from Sales, Client Services, Implementation, and Compliance as well as the Global Banking client base. Investigations against a clients file will require the candidates to access the Internet, reading annual reports, company accounts, balance sheets whilst using service providers and their websites i.e. D&B, FSA .

Responsibilities

  • Project manage the clients on-boarding process from a Documentation, account opening perspective across all European branches.
  • Loan agreement.
  • Handling and managing the on going reviews/collection of AML legal documentation.
  • Creation of documentation PDF e-mails to send to the clients
  • Providing guidance to clients on completing the documents
  • Hold regular client conference calls and potential client face to face meetings
  • Review of completed documentation when received back from client
  • Follow up on any outstanding issues
  • Independently verify information provided by the client
  • Liaison with Implementation, Client Services and Sales Officers
  • Liaison with the Compliance officers in the other EMEA branches
  • Collation of data regarding the team's activities for reporting purposes
  • To remain familiar with the latest FSA, JMLSG and Anti-Money Laundering requirements across the region.

Essential

  • Fluent English (Written, Reading and Speaking).
  • Candidates may have experience working in a client focused role OR possess a relevant Legal degree to be considered.
  • As part of the liaison role, the associate must possess excellent communication, analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience of FCA/AML regulations gained within a financial institution.
  • Fully conversant with the MS Office suite
  • Strong team player - to ensure the successful coverage for all lines of business and client classifications
  • A flexible, team-spirited approach with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines in a demanding environment
  • The ability to follow up on any outstanding issues

Preferred:

  • May have banking experience.
  • Specialist knowledge of the Cash Management business would be an advantage
  • Project Management skills
  • The candidate will need to show enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities and also be able to adapt to other task if asked.
