Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

We are looking for an experienced qualified accountant to provide a high quality financial business partnering service to operational activities in the Greater London Region. You will be based in the Greater London region team and report to the Head of Finance but with a dotted line to the Operations Director of Greater London.

The key focus of the role is:

• Work with the Regional Director and their management team to support the development and implementation of the financial strategy and promote high quality business decision making.
• Deliver training and support to operational staff to enable them to understand the importance of finance in decision making.
• Ensure a high level of internal control and adherence to process in the London Region.
• Support the Head of Finance in delivering process and administration efficiencies across the region.

Strong communication, IT skills including reporting packages and Excel are essential.

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months – to cover maternity leave
