Business Analyst - Reading - Permanent - £30,000 - £32,000


Wade Macdonald are currently recruiting for an exciting role as a Business Analyst to work with a great business based in Reading.

They are looking for a motivated, hard-working and dedicated individual to join their team.

Duties of the role include (but are not limited to):
*Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business and functional requirements, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, verifiable, and conform to their standards
*Assist in identifying new project requirements and managing change requests
*Meets with Stakeholders to define and determine application requirements
*Analyse software product needs and helps ensure alignment with the company's software development capabilities
*Translate business perspective into technical perspective and vice-versa; facilitate communication between Stakeholders and Development team
*Produce documentation with Business Requirements, Functional Requirements and User Stories/PBIs for a component of the application for use by the Development team
*Assist Project Team in verifying the solution meets end user needs based on the requirements
*Provide assistance to Development team in reviewing high level design to ensure that business focus is appropriately translated into technical development
*Provide assistance to Quality Assurance team in reviewing test cases to ensure that business focus is appropriately translated into technical development
*Provide suggestions and support in defining ways to re-use requirements methods, tools, or processes across projects

You must show demonstrable experience of the following:
*Be able to work in a fast past and agile environment.
*Experience and skills in facilitating and documenting technical and functional requirements as it relates to software projects and products. Must have the interview skills to be able to speak with an individual or groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface the essential detailed information
*Analytical skills
*Ability to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders, foster positive working relationships, and encourage mutual understanding among individuals with differing perspectives
*Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple concurrent tasks and adapt to changing priorities
*Strong listening and communication skills necessary to understand what Stakeholders say and express ideas clearly to individuals and groups, in both formal and informal settings
*Strong commitment to the company's mission to provide state-of the art solutions
*Brings a can-do attitude to the table that would be illustrated by an ability and willingness to collaborate, be team oriented, and have dedication to meeting and exceeding the expectations of other team members

Education:
*Must have Baccalaureate degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university, equivalent foreign institution, or equivalent experience.
*Must have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
*3+ yrs overall experience in Software Development Life Cycle processes.
*2+ yrs experience in working in Agile
*3+ yrs experience as an Analyst including:
*Producing User Stories with detailed acceptance criteria
*Creating Business and/or Functional Requirements
*Meeting facilitation
*Using requirements management tools
*Using MS Office Suite
*2+ yrs experience with creating process flow diagrams using various tools (MS Visio) preferred
*Familiarity with MS SharePoint preferred
*Familiarity with Mock-up and Prototype tools preferred
*Familiar with Team Foundation Server and/or TeamSpec preferred
