The Business:
Working in partnership with Seymour John, our client is UK market leader who is growing by acquisition and aiming to double its business over a three year period. This is an environment which can be challenging and rewarding with large up-side potential to progress.
The Opportunity:
Set direction and strategy for the Planning & Reporting function, to which all paths in commercial finance lead.
Shape the development of this embryonic function including the implementation of new Planning & MI software and processes which underpin its successful operation.
Manage your team to deliver a first class budgeting, forecasting and MI reporting service to the business and its Executive.
Present budgets and management information to the CEO, CFO and other top Executives within the business or its parent company.
Create superior transparency, accountability and information to enable to business to excel in maximising profitability.
- Develop activity based costing approach to understanding the cost base.
- Tie the cost base scientifically to the income level
Challenge value for money of activities and champion strong commercial principles.
Review business partner performance in the presentation of management information and ensure that they provide the Executive with the clarity to make the best decisions.
Be mentally agile to handle the challenges of a rapidly changing commercial landscape, such as support to new business deals, integration programmes, and change and investment projects.
Make decisions with confidence and sound judgement which deliver progress. Demonstrate leadership in the management of people, stakeholder relationships, tasks and projects.
