Our client, a leading international IT services company, requires an Internal & Operations Auditor to join a growing global operations audit function which has recently been awarded the highly regarded IFACI certification.  This role is crucial in supporting the company’s market leading status. You will be responsible for achieving the organisation’s goals and objectives within the challenging global environment.   The opportunity is based in Paris, but has a global remit and flexibility to travel is needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support functions processes (Finance, HR, Legal, Purchasing, Sales, M&A)
  • All Geographies and Service/Business Lines across the Group.
  • Audit activities include a mix of operational and financial assignments. They can be transversal audits (one topic across several entities), compliance audits (laws, regulations, instructions), internal control review of an entity, financial monitoring audits as well as Investigation/adhoc audits on request of management.
  • Supervise Internal Auditors
  • Lead Audit missions and projects on a global basis
  • Mentor and develop audit team
  • Deliver internal audit engagements with the objective to ensure reliability of the processes and bring added value to the organization
  • Apply the internal audit methodology in an exemplary way and coach internal auditors accordingly
  • Add value to the audit team by expanding knowledge and sharing it with the team
  • Participate to the continuous follow-up of audit recommendations
  • Influence internal stakeholders to adopt internal control good practice through development of trust relationships with them
  • Participate and/or lead internal projects related to IA continuous improvement program

 

Qualifications:

Technical skills:

  • Accounting and controlling background
  • At least 6- 8 years experience of external and internal audit work
  • Fluency in English, and another European language, preferably French or German
  • Ability to hierarchize and structure issues and produce corresponding management synthesis
  • Strong interest in Business, organizational and strategic matters

Soft skills:

  • Strong communication and influencing skills – both written and verbal
  • Attention paid to details, quality oriented
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Open minded, team working, flexible, interest for an international exposure
  • Autonomy when conducting interviews
  • You will have regular communication and interaction with the senior global management team, and senior client contacts, therefore it is crucial to possess strong presentation skills and gravitas.
