Finance Manager

A leading entertainment management Company are looking for a Finance Manager to report straight into the Director. This will be managing a team of about 6 and undertake accounting functions for clients - including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on wide range of financial issues, including tax, cashflow, accounts, budgets and extracting income from businesses
• Advising clients with numerous business interests, whilst having a good understanding of tax planning issues across the businesses
• Taking responsibility for meeting all client filing deadlines and being proactive to ensure information and queries are dealt with in good time
• Completing statutory accounts for companies and LLP's and reviewing accounts files prepared by other staff members
• The role will involve overseeing a team of between 5 - 8 people including planning and monitoring work for them
• Completing and reviewing VAT returns and workings
• Good understanding of payroll and filing requirements
• Competent tax knowledge and the ability to research more complex tax issues

Person Specification:

• Right to work within the UK
• ACCA / ICAW Qualified or equivalent
• Post qualification experience in practice
• Experienced at managing own portfolio of clients
• Excellent communication skills both with clients and with internal departments
• Ability to work independently of partners / directors and hold client meetings individually
• Good appreciation for individual and staff time management, client billing and fee recovery processes
• Experience of dealing with clients in the music and entertainment sector would be preferred but not essential
