Practice Accountant

An expanding accountancy firm based near Banbury, Oxford is seeking a Practice Accountant to support a Partner in the running of a portfolio (c£600k) and manage junior staff in their day to day work.  Ideally you will be an ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 2/3 years pqe.

Your key responsibility as the Practice Accountant is to provide a professional accountancy service to Limited Companies, Partnerships and Sole Traders and key tasks will include :

• Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns.
• Review junior’s work to identify relevant points for the Director to raise in client meetings.
• Liaise with clients to assist with queries or request additional information for their accounts and returns ensuring accuracy and statutory deadlines are met at all times.
• Support and mentor Trainees & junior members of staff.

The ideal Practice Accountant will be a qualified accountant with managerial experience gained within a reputable firm preferred together with strong client liaison skills and a genuine interest in contributing to your clients' business growth. This is seen as a progressive role and your progression will only be limited by your own performance and ambition. Salary £40k-£50k
