Our client, based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, is currently recruiting for a Site Accountant on a part time permanent basis.
Job purpose:
To provide financial support to the General Managers at two sites ensuring strong financial reporting and controls, maximising the profitability of the site operations whilst ensuring customer SLA performance.
Responsibilities:
General Manager Support
* Be able to support the General Manager with the day to day operations from a financial perspective.
Site Profitability
* Cost management and control - ensuring best procurement practice.
* Development and analysis of financial and operational KPIs, working with the operational teams to optimise efficiencies.
* Supporting management in optimising operational efficiency.
Customer Pricing and Reporting
* Preparation of client budgets for re-pricing purposes
* Preparation of client reports, supporting Operational and Commercial management.
Administrative Support
* Support of site administration teams responsible for - sales invoicing, purchase order and invoicing control, control over subcontractor costs / reporting, employee time and attendance reporting.
Weekly/monthly reporting
* Preparation of weekly site accounts.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting.
* Producing monthly management packs
Budgets/reforecasts
* Preparation of company budgets and reforecasts, reporting of actuals, investigating and reporting upon variances.
IT systems
* Ensuring successful operation of recently implemented IT system.
Other
* Preparation of capital expenditure and disposal proposals, ensuring appropriate controls over company assets, cash etc.
* Ad-hoc analysis and support to General Managers
Key Qualification / Experience
* Qualified or Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or Qualified by Experience
* Excellent Excel skills
* Full clean driving licence (travel to sites will be a requirement)
You will be a confident individual with excellent communication skills and experience working with operational and other non-finance managers.
You will be required to work under pressure and be able to hit financial and operational deadlines.
Hours: 3-4 days per week
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 pro rata
