Senior Finance Manager (ACA Qualified)

Our client, a worldwide market leader and employer of choice, has a rare requirement, due to consistent talent planning and effective employee engagement, for a top calibre Senior Finance Manager to join its dynamic team. The role will be responsible for all statutory accounting across numerous regions, including preparations for UK audits and compliance overview.

The opportunity will suit an ACA with a minimum 3 years PQE gleaned in a Top 10 Practice, where you will have had exposure to IFRS and shown be a capable and confident leader of teams on audit assignments. The Hiring Manager is expecting the successful individual to be in role for approximately 2 years before rotating around the department and further developing their skill set.

Main duties include:
* Leading a sub-team of 2 Qualified Accountants ensuring all closing and reporting activities are prepared timely and accurately
* Project managing the UK statutory accounts process, working closely with the audit team to deliver against timetable
* Working with key stakeholders to deliver appropriate levels of support and managing cross-functional links to other teams within finance
* Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and preparing commentary on variances
* Supporting financial and treasury systems implementation projects
* Providing recommendations to the business to improve controls and compliance
* Appraising, developing and mentoring direct reports

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant from top 10 practice and a stellar academic record to date. Any industry experience is a plus, but the most important thing is an exceptional technical skill set and experience of working with UK GAAP and/or IFRS in a blue-chip, fast paced environment.
