Tax Accountant, Poole £55k + bonus
A great opportunity to join a high growth, dynamic international business who is a European leader in their field.
Supporting the International Tax Manager, the role is focused on UK corporate tax compliance and financial reporting but extends to supporting both UK and overseas entities with tax related queries as well as assisting in UK VAT and PAYE related processes.
Main Responsibilities:
UK corporate tax compliance
Manage the UK tax compliance process with support from the Group Tax Reporting Manager.
Provide assistance to UK finance teams in the completion of corporate tax computations.
Calculate UK tax payments and manage the same.
Draft responses to HMRC enquiries.
Prepare and submit claims and elections.
Tax reporting
Preparation of UK and overseas tax packs for the year-end reporting process under IFRS.
Critical review of completed IFRS tax packs. Raising queries with sites and providing assistance where appropriate.
Input into the consolidation process and preparation of group tax disclosures. Assist in calculation of the group tax charge, ETR and cash tax.
Calculation and preparation of disclosures for the UK statutory accounts under UK GAAP.
Provide tax input to the group management accounts on a monthly basis. To include review of the Income Statement, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet items and raising queries to sites.
Collation and consolidation of tax forecast data.
Provide tax related support to UK and overseas entities
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an exciting and fast paced environment. Candidates should have corporate tax experience and reporting experience under IFRS and UK GAAP. You will be a Big 4 tax trained Qualified Accountant or CTA (or equivalent) and will either be looking for your first or second move from professional practice. Candidates need to have a flexible, professional, commercial approach. You will also have a warm and engaging personality and be a real people person to work in this dynamic business.
