Interim financial accountant

We are recruiting for a highly professional Interim Accountant to join a fast growing business in Fareham on a 3-4 month basis.

Supporting the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of accurate financial statements and provision of financial reports
• Prepare, monitor and control of the operating budget and overall financial performance of the company.
• Assist the Finance Director with driving effective foreign exchange and tax management.
• Manage the invoice factoring finance facility including active monitoring of compliance with the contractual obligations of the company, and acting as designated liaison with the bank lender.
• Oversee the accurate preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the financial robustness of financial reporting including provisions, accruals and fixed asset register
• Own and develop the financial elements of the ERP system.
• Oversee the accurate preparation and compliance of statutory returns including, VAT, P11D, and Intrastat's.
• Organise and manage the annual statutory financial audit.
• Manage the day to day cash flows

The ideal candidate will:

• Be fully qualified with strong technical ability, preferably with working knowledge of IFRS, particularly revenue recognition.
• Have worked with an SME , particularly manufacturing or distribution
• Have relevant experience in a financial reporting role
• Be a self-starter with a strong ability to multi task and work in a motivated team to meet deadlines.
• Be a strong and independently minded individual with strong business acumen
• Be able to quickly adapt and add real value in a short space of time.
