Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our client is a well-known, established company looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team.

This job would suit a recently Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACMA) who is looking to take on a Financial Analyst role is a dynamic and progressive business where they can support the decision making of senior operational and commercial managers. This is primarily a 'value-added' role and as such should be able to demonstrably show improved business performance.

The company is going through a sustained period of growth and has an enviable reputation within their sector, coupled with a strong management team with unequalled experience in the industry has resulted in this highly profitable business going from strength to strength.

The successful individual will be a qualified accountant (ACMA or ACCA) with a stable but progressive track record to date. The ability to communicate at all levels and cross functionally is essential coupled with strong IT skills and the ability to effectively prioritise a varied workload.

Duties will include:

• Identification of best practice through data analysis, investigation and recommending actions
• Monitor operational efficiency with particular emphasis on use of labour, margins, yield and stock levels, and making recommendations to operational managers, where appropriate
• Preparation of investment feasibilities and post investment analysis
• Control the budget timetable and process and agree appropriate targets liaising with outsourced finance department as necessary
• Update forecast models regularly
• Maintain business plan model and adapt when required
• Write a commentary to support the period management accounts
• Review period management account, identifying trends and seeking explanations of key variances and making recommendations thereon
