Commercial Finance Manager needed for FMCG business in Hampshire!

£50,000 + Excellent Bonus + Benefits

Investigo is currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager to act as a business partner to the General Manager in order to prepare and deliver the depot budget and contribute to the overall regional cost strategy for a household name FMCG business. You will be responsible for providing advice, challenging and coaching the Depot teams on all financial matters to ensure that financial targets are achieved and Depot risks are managed. You will also ensure that adequate financial controls are in place to support the site, and provide leadership and development for the site based finance teams.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the Depot leadership team in delivering the business and financial plans and providing day to day business partnering to the GM

- Supporting the Regional Finance Manager to cover all aspects of financial analysis and reporting at the site

- Day to day involvement in depot planning processes and decision making

- Ongoing financial management of the site opex and capital requirements, re-forecasting performance expectations to reflect current operational patterns.

- Lead a finance team of three direct reports in order to deliver best in class financial processes, providing development and coaching for the onsite teams

- Identify site level cost saving opportunities and work closely with the RFM to ensure that these are fully understood and implemented where appropriate.

- Champion the production, analysis and communication of site level KPI's throughout the business. Recommend improvements to drive enhanced performance.

Key requirements:

- University degree

- Newly qualified accountant with 1-3 years post qualification experience

- Will consider a first time mover from Top10 audit firms if you have experience of working with manufacturing or logistics clients

- Experience of financial management and control processes, detailed understanding of forecasting, budgeting and cost control

- Strong financial acumen, proven challenging, influencing and negotiating skills

- Ability to combine strategic and analytical perspectives with a pragmatic approach to delivery

- Logistics experience would be highly desirable
