You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for accurate and robust modelling of revenues and costs for the business
  • Develop a sound understanding of all areas of the business in order to provide challenge on key assumptions and to ensure accurate and credible modelled outputs
  • Work with the business and finance stakeholders to refine modelling and understand the drivers of key assumptions including the development of a 3 year plan model
  • Development of sub-models to evaluate specific business initiatives and the creation of Sandbox modelling to determine scenario outcomes Ensuring that KPIs and timelines are in place to monitor performance of key planned initiatives and strategic plan
  • Production of summaries of financial planning output for key stakeholders and for submission to group
  • Assist in the preparation of strategy and financial presentations and narratives for Senior Management
  • Ensure that any new initiatives signed off during the year are consistent with strategic objectives and reflected in the plan

Product development and ad-hoc project work

Strategic Planning

Source key external forecasts, reports, insight as well as assisting in review materials produced for the HoF and FD, Finance Strategy

Ad hoc Investor Relations requests

Competitor & Economic Analysis

Provision of competitor and economic updates to the business

Collation of information and tracking of information relating to competitor and economic insights

Review of new information available and production of useful insight for distribution to the business via the weekly bulletin

Understand the drivers of competitor profitability

Ad-hoc and timely modelling of competitor performance

Departmental Responsibilities:

Liaise and coordinate with the other Finance Managers to ensure a streamlining of processes and systems

Develop and drive performance of team members including direct management of Strategy team Analyst

 

To apply for this role you must be fully ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with experience working in a large matrix organisation with a the ability to work at all levels providing strategic advice to non finance.
