Sellick Partnership are seeking a bright Finance Analyst to work for a services business based in South Manchester. This person will either have a strong background in Management Accounts or will have worked in a Finance Analyst role previously. They will be responsible for the delivery of accurate budgets, forecasts and analysis to help drive the business forward. Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders will be key to this role. The business requires someone who is flexible and who manages change well. Excellent IT skills are essential as they will be responsible for the preparation and submission of the monthly results and forecasting/budgets.

The Role

  • Supporting the Finance Business Partner with financial controls and financial reporting across all in house operations
  • Produce timely and accurate reports to Budget/Forecast
  • Produce insightful variance analyses
  • Carry out relevant analyses on all aspects of the operation
  • Present findings and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders
  • Drive opportunities and manage risks within each Business Unit
  • Promote commercial and cost effective decision making amongst the operational and management teams
  • Formulate and develop meaningful KPIs
  • Develop accurate and robust methods of tracking and measuring business transformation, initiatives and business improvement projects
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders from all business areas
  • Challenge and support decision making within the Operational Teams


The Person

  • Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent IT skill set - Excel, SAP & BPC
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious
  • Deep understanding of the operation, its KPIs and cost base
  • Able to drive and manage change effectively
  • Able to influence key business decisions by demonstrating a good understanding of the business and strong leadership skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Accurate, thorough & reliable
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
