Management Accountant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are recruiting for a well known, expanding and successful Scunthorpe based business. Due to growth and restructure they require a Part Qualified Accountant to work in their established Finance team on a permanent basis.

THE JOB:

Reporting into the Finance Controller and working alongside Part Qualified Accountants you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Prepare and review the overhead costs for the monthly management accounts and ensure timeliness, completeness and accuracy
• Provide regular agreed financial information to the operational overhead teams
• Undertake ad-hoc analysis to understand operational performance as appropriate
• Work alongside the Financial Controller in compiling the management accounts and annual budget
• Manage and control the CAPEX monitor, reporting back on overspends
• Maintain full balance sheet reconciliations, including appropriate backup
• Assist with year end statutory accounts
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT and Intrastat returns
• Work with the FD & operational teams to formulate plans to address overspends to Budget
• Attendance at meetings giving support and challenge as appropriate

THE PERSON:

• Part or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Strong attention to detail including excellent analytical skills
• Strong and effective communicator
• Competent Excel user
