A rapidly growing, listed, market leading multi-site retailer is looking to appoint a qualified accountant as Financial Reporting Manager, reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller.
Currently turning over c.£200m, the business is a very recognisable brand and has been extremely successful with lots of interesting activity from a finance perspective, including acquisitions & integrations, a large & complex group structure and lots of change. With day to day involvement in the business, managing lots of stakeholders (internally and externally), this role will be critical in driving change and the successful candidate will gain a broad exposure and be earmarked for rapid progression.
With succession planning in mind, this role will make for an excellent stepping stone to a leadership role, and help fast track the right candidates career.
Key duties will include;
- Management of finance team, 4 FTE
- Ownership of all group reporting and accounting
- Management of the finance and transactional team.
- Support the CFO and GFC in preparation of board back and investor materials
- Participation in all acquisition due diligence.
- Develop the Group budgeting and forecasting model and produce standard templates.
- Production of Group 3 year plan.
- Rolling review of all balance sheet account reconciliations with appropriate recommendations.
- Review of processes and financial controls across all group companies.
- Production of tax packs.
- Manage the audit process.
- Other ad hoc finance work.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate to develop alongside a growing and successful business. It is a fast paced environment, where there will be plenty of opportunity to take on new challenges, gain exposure to senior management and progress within the business.
This role would ideally suit a candidate who is practice trained with a strong technical skill set, either looking to make their first or second move into industry.
