Management Accountant (interim)

Based in Preston this family owned business has enjoyed steady growth to become a diverse £25m turnover operation with a number of divisions. They are currently restructuring the finance department following the arrival of a new Finance Director and need to recruit a Management Accountant to provide some interim support whilst the structure is finalised. The position is likely to last up to six months and has a strong chance of going permanent for the right individual. Duties will include: preparation of management accounts, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, project costing and performance analysis, production and analysis of division P&L’s for all divisions. The business is likely to be moving towards more of a group structure and you will be asked to support the development of group reporting including consolidated budgets and forecasts. Previous experience of working in a project / contract led environment monitoring WIP and working with commercial teams would also be useful as the business operates in a specialist niche within the civil engineering / construction sector. Given the urgency of the requirement candidates don’t necessarily need to meet all the criteria provided they have some experience with management accounts and can demonstrate the right attitude.
