Financial Analyst

Core Responsibilities
- Through proactive dialogue, keep abreast of ad hoc reporting needs of the sales team and work with MI to manage timelines. Analysts must be prepared to respond quickly to ad hoc queries and questions about current trading.
- Consider archiving needs of the department and manage a key changes log that documents reasons for unexpected movements
- Assist project work as required
- Produce insight/intelligence for informed decision making
- Develop and maintain a set of core reports to manage and inform of the Sales & Distribution initiatives and maintain financial control.
Customer Responsibilities (Internal & External Customers)
- Identify and develop strong relationships with peers within the commercial team.
- Actively seek ways to improve individual performance based on customer feedback.
- To attend and contribute in regular review sessions to deliver the requirement of the role.
- Key influencer in Sales team decision making process, being the independent advisor at planning meetings.

Essential Competencies
- Able to explain financial concepts to non financial people
- Strong excel skills (lookup, macro, pivot table etc)
- Strong Accounting knowledge, with ability to engage Marketing function in applying proper accounting treatment
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial data quickly and insightfully
- Inquisitive and challenging mind
- Able to prioritise
