The SF Group are pleased to be recruiting an Accounts Semi-Senior on behalf of a UK Top 15 Accountancy Practice. We are looking for dynamic, progressive individuals that want to move up from a smaller practice to a very well positioned brand or who want to move across from a similar sized practice for increased progression. You will get access to increased responsibility early on and speedy progression is guaranteed. The vacancy is available due to growth and business success. The client base will consist of SME's, Sole Traders, LLP's and Corporate entities with far more technical requirements.

The working week is 37.5 hours over Monday to Friday, working 9am to 5:30pm. You, the successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in accountancy handling a portfolio of clients in a professional firm (essential)
  • No formal accountancy qualifications are required, it is more important that you can demonstrate experience in preparing accounts for clients
  • Knowledge of Sage is essential, knowledge of Iris, CCH accounts production would be beneficial

    • Your new job will entail:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for a portfolio containing a variety of small and medium-sized businesses
  • Dealing with accounting-related queries from clients (including Sage queries)
  • Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns for clients as and when required
  • Assisting managers in the accounts department with a variety of tasks such as filing accounts at Companies House, communicating opening balance adjustments to clients etc.
