Potato is seeking an ambitious Finance Director to join us in our office in central London where we develop web tools and apps for huge audiences. We are a part of the AKQA network and our clients include Google, YouTube, Skype and PayPal.
This role will see you working as part of a friendly, expert team. The workload will sometimes be hectic, but the atmosphere is cheerful and proactive.
We're looking for a commercially focused Finance Director with a strong digital agency (or similar business) background, who can work within our operations team to ensure all of our ongoing projects are meticulously supported. This role will see you working directly with the senior management team to grow the business and would suit an energetic individual, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation.
Our Finance Director will be responsible for...
• Supporting Potato’s project delivery from a financial perspective (SOX compliance, audit/group & company financial reporting, tax compliance & working capital management)
• Troubleshooting, escalation handling, root cause analysis, and preventative actions
• Leading and developing our finance team
• Providing leadership to the board's finance and accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance
• Overall control of the company’s accounting function
• Managing company finance policies such as capital requirements, cash management and taxation (US & UK)
• Ensuring that company financial models and systems are robust, SOX compliant and support current activities and future growth
• Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
• Presenting monthly and annual management and statutory accounts in accordance with FRS101 to the company board
