Property Accountant, Commercial Property Management. Our Client is an established property commercial property management firm. Their client base various from property companies to private investors across the UK, their current portfolio under management ranges from offices to prime retail units. They are now looking for a Property Accountant to join their prestigious property accounting team.
The Role will be reporting to the team leader and you will be required to fulfil the following duties:
- Preparing the client and service charge accounts for an allocated Client and portfolio.
- Performing client bank reconciliations, client reporting, rent deposits, service charge and insurance.
- Preparing and reviewing the annual service charge cash reconciliations, and clearing reconciled items.
- Calculating and compiling of completion statements, rent review calculations and interest.
- VAT reporting.
- Calculating service charge cash surplus/deficit on sale.
- Producing and sending out monthly client statements.
The Person: To apply, you MUST be an experienced Client accountant with at least 3 years commercial property accounting experience. You are required to have a sound understanding and knowledge of RICS regulations and additional legislations. Team management skills would be very helpful to assist the Director to motivate and drive the business forward. As this role is also Client facing you must possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and be a confident individual. Although not a pre-requisite it would be preferred if you are PQ ACCA/CIMA. It would be helpful if you have an understanding of double-entry accounting.
