My Client a Global Leading Healthcare Business in London is looking for a Management Accountant to join their head office team.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager the Management Accountant will be responsible for:
- Accruals for outstanding costs such as agency nurses, RMO's, supplies, etc.
- Obtaining information from Heads of Department, Facility Finance Team and the Chief Finance Officer as required.
- Prepayments required on rents, rates, maintenance agreements etc.
- Review of monthly results to ensure that variances to budget, prior year and prior period are understood and misstatements are corrected.
- To improve the month end process on a continuing basis and to share ideas for improvements with the wider management accounts team.
- Investigating on-going accruals and irregularities through discussion with HODs and Finance Manger
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the management accounts balance sheets for the facility.
- Clearing reconciling items on a regular basis, and ensuring supporting documentation is obtained as appropriate.
- Assist with the facility Monthly operating Results Pack
- Assist with the Corporate Reporting Packs.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets.
- Support the facility finance team in holding budget meetings with Heads of Departments.
- Working alongside the Chief Finance Officer and facility finance team in consolidating the departmental budgets into a facility budget.
- Analysing the facility budget against current year trends and amending as appropriate.
- Undertake regular visits to sites where applicable to maintain and improve your knowledge of the internal and external issues impacting the business.
- Provide training and support for departments and hospital/corporate management on interpretation of financial reports.
- Liaise and assist both internal and external auditors
- Special projects and any other duties as required
Successful candidates will have 2:1 degree or above, who are part qualified accountants in either ACCA or CIMA. Candidates must have experience of preparation of management accounts budgeting sand support to cost and profit centre mangers.
