Our client is looking for a FP&A Senior Manager

The Business Unit is comprised of several companies which have been acquired by the client and are now in turn being integrated, therefore leading the FP&A transformation process to consolidate the several systems and processes is a key part of this role.

It requires a pro-active approach, where strong FP&A technical skills are combined with the ability to engage stakeholders across the organization, building trust and collaboration.

 

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with a thorough understanding of financial processes and systems

  • Proven FP&A experience (including management reporting tools - forecasting & budgeting, cost center analysis, business performance review decks etc.)

  • Ability to digest and analyse multiple data sources to provide valuable insight in support of business decision making

  • Excellent computer skills (including Excel at pivot, vlookups, sumifs level)

  • Experience in a manufacturing / FMCG or retail environment would be a plus

  • Ability to interact effectively with functional stakeholders (Commercial, Operations, R&D, Support functions) in building management reporting tools and business partnering to drive customer focus and cost structure efficiencies

  • Have a ‘hands on’ approach in a financial and operational context

  • Task management and personal organization – ability to organize own work and the work of the FP&A team:

  • Lead the FP&A team to ensure timely and accurate production of periodic information including:

      • Monthly management accounts

      • Quarterly forecasts

      • Annual budgets

      • Submission of 5 year Strategic Plan

      • Tracking of business transformation initiatives

         

  • Maintain a continuous assessment of risks and opportunities for each value stream within the BU in achieving its year-end financial budget/forecast and strategic objectives

  • Improve the flow of financial information to the organisation and its business partners

  • R&D and Engineering activities – tracking of key projects and product development initiatives – resource v benefit analysis.

  • Product line P&L – support the assessment of current Product line P&L’s and the further improvement and alignment of the methodology and structures across all product groups.

  • Review Headcount mapping across each cost centre (both permanent and contractors) following various changes in the functional team structures to ensure alignment between activities, cost centre ownership and payroll. Support the streamlining of Cost Centre structures across legal entities.

  • Support the deployment of the new Foreign Exchange assessment tool to capture currency hedging needs over a time span of 6-18 months.

  • Support the Cash Flow forecasting process

  • Project management support/coordination and other ad-hoc initiatives.
