Our client is successful Sport and Leisure business based in Central London. Their reputation is exceptional and they continually deliver to the highest standard. They are currently working on a high number of projects and the current FP&A lead is going on maternity leave and an interim replacement is needed for 6-9 months.

The new appointee will have a track record of achievement in the FP&A arena and strong management experience across similar/aligned industries.

The new appointee will play a key role in stakeholder management and be a central figure in discussions around future business need, then driving the associated deliverables.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the annual budget process (both Revenue and Cost) and quarterly forecasting, ensuring that agreed budgets are robust, challenging and reflective of accepted expectations within the business;
  • Leading the analysis on new business projects, supporting with key insight and logical assumptions to help fast track growth;
  • Compiling monthly reporting packs by compressing and processing key financial data, and delivering this to Management and Board level;
  • Offering insightful suggestions to improvements of current reporting strategies, by liaising with the relevant financial and non-financial stakeholders;
  • Providing strong financial leadership within the team, and influencing important stakeholder commercial decision-making;
  • Leading a team of 10 with 2 direct reports.

The ideal candidate:

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven track record of recent achievement within the FP&A arena;
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent) and a strong academic background;
  • Strong management and communicational skills, combined with the ability to influence key business stakeholders;
  • Experience of working within a large digital/tech business, and a passion for working within the sector is desirable.
