Chief Financial Officer

Robert Half have been retained by a major global employer to recruit a UK Chief Financial Officer for one of their most strategically important subsidiary's based in Leeds City Centre.

Both the global business and UK subsidiary are innovative by nature, cash rich and they are keen to attract a commercially aware CFO who can become a key part of the UK management team that aims to implement an ambitious business plan over the next 3-5 years.

The duties of the role are partly statutory related as with any CFO role, but predominantly commercially orientated, A summary of the duties are as follows:

• Management and development of a talented finance team, opportunity to restructure as the team grows
• Managing UK finances in accordance with best practice standards and in line with group policy
• Provide the UK CEO & Group with relevant information and advice regarding business performance
• Evaluating the viability of new contracts
• Financial Lead on all new bids/tenders
• Taking the lead in all commercial negotiations relating to the business

The scope of this position is likely to evolve beyond these duties as the organisation implements their business plan and priorities develop.

• Fully Qualified Accountant with a robust Financial and Commercial background
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to influence at exec level
• Commercial acumen, with demonstrable examples of positively impacting the bottom line of a P&L
• Exemplary leadership qualities
• Strategically minded
• Previous exposure to a contract-driven environment would be advantageous
