I have been out to meet with my client this morning who are looking for a confident management accountant to help move their business forward and be a part of a very successful finance team that has seen growth and career progression.

As part of a division of this manufacturing company, you will help with the production of management accounts, liaise with many areas of the business to control costs, overheads, budgets and future forecasts. You will prepare financial statements including profit and loss, prepayments and accruals, cash flows, variance analysis with commentaries.

You will be looking at the financial performance of an organisation that has grown and continues to do so. You will ensure that business performance continues and highlighting trends and any areas of risk. You will help out with various projects, being part of teams to help drive the business forward.

Reporting to the senior management accountant, the role will have you going to different areas of the business to ensure their spending is in line with budget. My client is looking for someone who is confident, personable and commercial to support all departments and help the management team to make financial decisions.

Having worked with this client for some time, I found the line managers to be some of the friendliest, most helpful and down to earth people who really want the best from their staff. As a result, you have a happy, determined, social finance team eager to work hard and progress.

My client is looking for a candidate who is Qualified or Part Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA). The salary for this role is up to £35k. Ideally they would like you to come from large manufacturing or production based environments who is not afraid of a challenge and is happy to roll their sleeves up and focus on the various tasks at hand.
