Senior Finance Business Partner

Our client – a highly reputable retailer are looking for an exceptional candidate with a strong business acumen to join their highly ambitious Finance team for a 6 month interim basis.

Due to an internal restructure, they are now urgently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support them until March when a permanent solution can be resourced. The role with have 1 direct report although managerial experience is not essential. You will partner will operations daily and be expected to softer support and guidance to more junior members of the department. Retails experience would be beneficial, but experience within FMCG or Telecommunications are also considered desirable.

Key responsibilities:

• Driving financial decisions to maximise margins and increase revenue in alignment with the company’s ambitious growth plans;
• Working across financial and operational departments to ascertain the most efficient ways in which to develop business opportunities;
• Ensuring that the annual business plan and budgets are internally coherent, and directly correlate to the company’s growth as a whole;
• Budgeting and forecasting up to and including Board level;
• Responsible for a divisional finance team, leading and directing reporting and analysis, to support an efficient finance strategy.

The ideal candidate:

• A qualified financial professional (ACA/CIMA or equivalent) with a proven track record of excelling in a business and commercial environment;
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, to influence internal commercial and operational stakeholders;
• Experience of working to tight financial deadlines, coupled with a strong decision-making mentality;
• Comfortable reporting to all levels within the company, and being able to convey information and data in a direct and succinct manner.
