Finance Business Partner - Specialist Petfood Manufacturer

As Finance Business Partner reporting to our CFO, you’ll play a key role co-piloting business management in managing our financial shape by providing financial intelligence through the analysis and presentation of sales and profit performance to support business development and meet financial targets.  Focusing on RC Retail/Pro whilst also supporting e-retail, covering c.£50m NSV RC POS/Pro and c.£25m e-retail business, you’ll work closely with our Channel, E-business and Ireland Directors as one of our Finance management team, reviewing performance and outlook against plan/expectations and identifying any necessary actions.  

Other key accountabilities as Finance Business Partner include:
•    ownership of channel/sector period-end
•    insight and analysis on channel sales performance and customer growth rates/trends 
•    financial modelling 
•    promoting collaboration between channels and across business departments.

A qualified accountant and/or with a degree in a mathematically-based discipline, underpinned by excellent numeric, analytical and modelling skills, you must have a proven financial track record within a fast-moving commercial environment.  

With strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to summarise key messages and outputs succinctly for non-financial audiences,  you’ll need first-class financial and business acumen, quickly able to get to grips with governance, processes and systems.

 As Finance Business Partner  you’re also:
•    able to identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement
•    curious, challenging and commercially aware
•    able to build close working relationships with key Channel Directors and key line/operating management within the sales, marketing and market supply.
