Finance Director
£70,000-£80,000 per annum + Great Benefits
Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich
Experienced finance professional sought for a fast growing service business located near to Bury St Edmunds. The business currently operates form 5 locations, with a turnover of £30m. The primary requirements for the incumbent are to develop the finance team and to assist the CEO in continuing to develop the business.
Objectives:
- Establish effective financial controls and procedures to ensure effective ongoing corporate governance. This will include the recruitment, development and coaching / training of Finance staff to ensure effective accounting discipline.
- Establish an effective process of management reporting for all levels of the organisation.
Pre-Requisites:
- Experience in project / change management within a Finance Function is essential.
- Experience in managing a finance function turnaround in terms of performance, efficiency and quality, is essential.
- A leader and effective manager who has experience in recruiting and building an effective, efficient and motivated finance department.
- The candidate must be able and willing to be flexible regards travel in the UK.
Additional Skills/Qualifications:
- Qualified with a suitable accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA). The successful candidate should also have more than 5 years experience as a Financial Controller in a relevant industry sector (engineering services / industrial services / commercial contracting) and relevant medium (c£10m to £100m t/o) sized business.
- Effective inter personal skills and good verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ability to interact with all levels of internal and external organizations are essential.
- The ability to motivate, lead and delegate. The candidate must also be able to work independently, and as part of a small team.
- Commercial experience with operating and financial lease arrangements would be an advantage.
