Purpose of this role
Based in Aesop’s London office, the Accounts Coordinator - Europe will primarily be responsible for the processing and payment of supplier invoices, reconciliation of in-store sales, harmonisation of intercompany transactions, administration of corporate credit cards (including monthly reconciliation), entering and payment of employee reimbursements and maintenance of petty cash processes for a number the company’s European entities. These tasks will be processed and managed directly from the London Office using the company’s cloud-based ERP system (NetSuite).
The Accounts Coordinator – Europe will also act as a key support to the European Finance Manager and assist on a number of ongoing and annual tasks including (but not limited to): reviewing and providing feedback on monthly management reporting at regional level, preparation of annual budgets, monitoring cash-flow and refining financial processes at regional level.
In addition to these important duties, the Accounts Coordinator – Europe will also partake in the implementation of a number of company-wide projects such as an existing ERP roll-out within the European region.
Infrequent travels in Europe may be required from time to time.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in one or more of the following degrees: Business, Accounting, Finance Commerce or similar is preferred.
- Professional qualifications: Actively studying towards a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- 2+ years’ experience working in an administrative accounts focused role.
- Experience in the retail sector preferred.
- Previous experience working across multiple countries in the European region an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and escalate issues and process improvements together with a good eye for detail.
- Hands-on, practical problem solving and process improvement skills and ability to complete tasks within set timeframes.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong and effective interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Fluent English is a prerequisite – no exceptions.
- Additional European language skills would be a distinct and significant advantage.
- Prior exposure to NetSuite or other ERP systems and retail POS systems would be beneficial.
