SquareTrade’s European team is expanding and looking for a new Junior Accountant.  You will be part of a small team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s European finances.  The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial position.  

SOME OF THE THINGS YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE...

• Prepare and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Bank reconciliations
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Prepare information required for VAT returns and submit to outsourced provider
• Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation and review of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assist with other accounting projects on an ad hoc basis

  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Great attention to detail
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Part qualification in ACA, CIMA or ACCA is a plus but not required – study support may be available
